Globalization & localization of major publisher’s export portal

a. The Customer Environment
This major and long time technical publishing corporation had created a pioneering US industrial product export portal. The site was being delivered in many languages. The site was developed internally by the firm and had major problems to maintain the site in other languages. In addition there was no capability for synchronization of the sites and no capability to globalize the data base records.

b. The Engagement
WebViews was asked to globalize the corporate export portal web site to Arabic. In addition, they wanted database globalization and site synchronization at presentation, data and application layers and the maintenance of the newly created destination sites on ongoing basis.
