Development and Implementation of a globalized e-business and corporate web site for a major US Portal Services company

a. The Customer Environment
This U.S. Portal Services company operates as a portal site for an umber of other service providers including multilingual educational services.

b. The Engagement
WebViews was engaged to globalize their portal and corporate site and localize its content for Japanese and Mexican jurisdictions. The expectation was to provide same features and functionality in Japanese and Spanish. The technology used to develop the sites included HTML, ASP programming languages and MS SQL Server 7.0 DBMS system.

• Investigated and analyzed e-business and web site environment and

• Created client’s site objects inventory and provided site statistics
• Performed integrity and operability tests on source site and resolved the problems
• Using WebViews ILP environment built the destination language web sites in Spanish and Japanese. The site included all content including HTML, ASP Programs, PPT, Excel and PDF documents and Oracle database Records.
• Performed integrity and operability tests on localized destination web site
• Performed Internal Quality Assurance and received customer comments and approval
• Published the site and posted the Japanese and Spanish websites. 
• Established a change management, site Monitoring and synchronization processes.
